Pug/Dog/Pet
Rescues, Shelters,and Organizations
At PugSpeak, we believe in and support pug, dog, and pet rescues and shelters. There are countless pugs, dogs, and cats on the planet that have been abandoned. The statistics are alarming and the reasons are too numerous to count. In the end, it doesn't really matter. They need and deserve good, loving homes and proper care. We urge everyone (unless you are a professional and responsible breeder and we do believe breeding has its place) to spay or neuter your pugs, dogs, cats, and pets. And ask yourself this: Is it really fair to your dog or cat to put off neutering or spaying? Is it fair to your pet's offspring? Especially if you cannot care for those puppies and kitties?
When the decision's been made to bring a new pet into the family, please remember pug rescue and pet rescue organizations as well as breeders. Most cities have local rescues (for a particular breed) and shelters. You might very well find your perfect companion there. And if a pug is right for you, please consider pug rescue. We would be happy to recommend a pug rescue in your area. Simply email us at pugspeak@sbcglobal.net or call at (913) 403-8009.
On this page you will find links to many excellent pug rescue and pet rescue sites, shelter information, and pug and pet organizations.
