PugSpeak always welcomes pug related questions, information, and feedback from our visitors. Over the years, we have received many emails and phone calls with general and specific questions regarding pugs and PugSpeak and we're always happy to help. We do want to emphasize, however, that in the case of health and medical questions, we encourage you to first speak with a veterinarian.
We thought this would be a good opportunity to compile some of the most frequently asked questions and create an easy reference page. Hopefully, this can save our visitors and customers time. Some questions are basic pug questions. Some are specific PugSpeak questions regarding our services.
As always, please feel free to contact PugSpeak with questions - especially if yours is not answered on this page or you would like further clarification. If we don't know the answer, we will always consult a professional source.
Do not hesitate to email us or phone at (913) 403-8009. Thanks so much for visiting PugSpeak!
The two most commonly asked pug-related questions:
Is it normal for pugs to snore?
While excessive snoring could indicate a soft palate that is too long (please consult a vet), some snoring is normal for the breed. Pugs have a short muzzle (brachycephalic) which can hinder breathing in certain situations such as excessive exercise and certain climates.
My pug's tail isn't as curly as other pugs. Is something wrong?
No. Every pug (and pug tail) is unique. The degree of curliness has to do more with genetics than anything. We have heard it said the tighter the curl or more times the tail loops, the better the bloodlines. But we have not found any evidence thus far to back that up. Tight or loose, curly or loopy - it does not matter. Just love your pugs!
